| If you
plan to connect to the Internet using DSL or a cable
modem, you can use a router and ethernet hub to share
your Internet connection.
In this configuration each computer in your office
connects to your hub which is then connected to the
cable modem. This gives each computer a direct connection
to the Internet. Some cable modems now allow you to
connect multiple PCs to them, potentially eliminating
the need for a seperate hub or switch. If you are sharing
files and/or printers between workstations you may want
to consider adding a seperate Firewall. |
